Understudy

Terms of Service

LAST UPDATED · July 20, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Understudy (operated by Useable Studio) for using the service. By signing in and using Understudy, you agree to them.

The service

Understudy helps you turn rough notes into finished LinkedIn posts written in your voice. It is a drafting assistant: you are the author. You decide what to post, and you’re responsible for what you publish. Understudy is currently a founding-member beta and is provided as-is; features may change.

Accounts

Access is invite-only. Keep your login credentials secure, don’t share your account, and don’t forward your invitation link — it’s tied to your founding spot. You must be at least 18 to use Understudy.

Your content

You own the content you put into Understudy and the posts you create with it. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and process that content in order to provide the service to you (including sending it to our AI provider to generate your drafts, as described in our Privacy Policy). We don’t claim ownership of your work.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Understudy to create content that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or that infringes someone else’s rights, and don’t try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

AI output

Drafts are generated by AI and can be wrong, awkward, or off-voice. Review everything before you post it. You’re responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of anything you publish, and Understudy makes no guarantee that a draft is accurate, original, or fit for any particular purpose.

Availability

We aim to keep Understudy running but don’t promise uninterrupted availability, and as a beta it may have downtime or change without notice.

Termination

You can stop using Understudy and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Understudy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Understudy and Useable Studio are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Useable Studio operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use Understudy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
